Re: Real time pitch shift?
if we're on the subject of pedals... this one I crave,,, http://www.themusiczoo.com/PDGImages/Eventide_Pitch_Factor_576c.jpg Nice! The new Whammy DT's have midi in so you can change the pedal's interval range and key mid song. Very tempted to get one and use it on all sorts of unsuitable source mat...

I can confirm this. Installed Windows 8 Pro last night and the latest 64 bit Ableton beta and had a testing session - all seems to be good so far.

Re: Key & Beat Detection Software
Try the free rekordbox from pioneer. This. I used mixedinkey for years, then a few weeks ago I had a gig where I had to use CDJ2000s and loaded all my tunes into Rekordbox to prep them - it turns out that Rekordbox can do the same thing as MIK but is completely free to use. Worked perfectly for me.

Re: Live 8 Suite Box to Live 9 Suite worth it?
I was going to upgrade from Live 8 to Live 8 Suite box to get the extra sounds, but it looks like the free upgrade of Live 9 Suite comes with all the extra session drums and orchestra sounds regardless of whether you order the box or not. Is it worth it to get the box version or just get Live 8 Sui...

I'm already weighing up whether I can justify selling my VCM600, MPD16 and Launchpad to fund 9 Suite + Push. G.A.S in full effectaizo wrote:The extract midi from audio is HUGE for me.

Re: Is PUSH USB Class Compliant?
Anybody know about that? Yes is it according to Peter Kirn on Create Digital Music: http://createdigitalmusic.com/2012/10/ableton-push-integrated-touch-sensitive-hardware-control-for-live-details/ It’s hacker-friendly: USB class-compliant (hello, Linux, iOS), and fully controllable via MIDI. Re: Upgrade to Suite 8 and get Live 9 Suite Free?! Really?
I feel like Abes haven't been completely clear on upgrade prices / prices in general sometimes. So I'd wait for the dust to settle in case anything gets changed / isn't clear. ... This is it. If I have to pay more to upgrade from Suite 8 to Suite 9 than someone upgrading from Live 8... well that ju...

Re: Seen the front page? Live 9 is here :o
Ok, just a tiiiiiny bit disappointed with the "First quarter 2013" launch period. That could mean end of March, which, right now, is actually five months away. Oh well. Patience is a virtue. I'm fine with that, got to save £562 (€698) to upgrade to Live 9 Suite with the Push controller. T...
