Are you using your laptop's internal soundcard, and if so, are you using the standard drivers or Asio4All?

I downloaded hundreds of gb's of those samples from the MusicRadar website without having to pay a penny for the magazines. Then I deleted all but about 200mb's worth. Winner

I use a Vestax VCM600 with a customised config so I can control up to 30 channels per scene and layer music that way.
