You can also send me a project where this occurs at beta@ableton.com, there must be settings on your machine that makes this reproducible.

The legacy mode will introduce latency. Not by design but eliminated by disabling the legacy mode.
Please verify that oversampling alone should not introduce this latency. In case it does please send in the set to beta@ableton.com

I cant reproduce this here, both VST and AU of the 1176AE shows up and renders audio fine, also on 10.8.4.

If I remember correct you can set both USB buffer and Audio buffer in the NI audio control panel.

I understand from talking to support, that the problem was an underpowered external hub.
Please make sure you can reproduce this problem connecting the launchpad directly to the computer with no hub. If you can reproduce with 9.0.5b5, please open a new thread on this.
