Re: UC-33e Controller Doubled CC Numbers
Hey, I'm a little confused here, but I'm happy to try and figure it out with you... So you have multiple knobs/faders on the same channel? That's not really a problem, as long as each controller is using a unique channel. For Example: All controls on the UC-33 are on Channel 1, and on the UC-16 all ...

Re: How do I get this stutter/random effect on my pads?
I've wondered about this type of sound for a while as well. Tried to emulate it myself using a couple layered synths, each with a unique filter delay, but have never really quite gotten it right. If anyone nails this with Lives internal effects and can throw up a link somewhere, it would be greatly ...

Re: UC-33e Controller Doubled CC Numbers
What do you mean by doubling? I'm assuming you want to change the CC# and/or Channel# of certain knobs/faders.... You can do this natively on the uc33e. I'm not sitting in front of mine right now, so I'm not sure what the exact button functions are called, but above the keypad you will see a set of ...

Re: Nu Disco House Question
This Nu-Disco trend/genre we're seeing right now doesn't necessarily have anything to do with using samples from the disco era (although you very well could if you wanted to). It's just house music that's a little slower (think anything from 100bpm - 118bpm) that has that funky, old disco vibe to it...

loldistaudio wrote:"Every electronic song needs a breakdown otherwise it is not real music" - Skrillex
He also said Aphex Twin - Film was his favourite song of all time, which really doesn't have a breakdown.

The "free" version has 0 actual useful information, its essentially the preface of each chapter, and tells you what you can expect to read if you buy the book.

Re: Are "breakdowns" 100% necessary in Electronic Music?
It all depends what kind of music you're writing imo... certain genres lend themselves to breakdowns. You're not going to (or very rarely) find a trance track that has no breakdown. Alternatively, you're not going to (or very rarely) find detroit/dub techno or deep house tracks that have a long, dra...

Re: Nocturn/Automap destroyed ableton
Ahhh that's news to me, weird that the nocturn doesn't have standard support. Even the launchpad won't work natively?

Re: Nocturn/Automap destroyed ableton
do you NEED automap though? You can use both the launchpad and the nocturn in live without it, very well might I add. Automap just gives you limited additional functionality, that may not even be of any use to you.... I've been using a launchpad and a slmk2 (another novation keyboard/controller) for...

Re: Nocturn/Automap destroyed ableton
do you NEED automap? You can use both devices without it, the python scripts in live are separate from automap and are uneffected by anything automap does.... Just make sure automap isn't selected in the midi section of your preferences and you should be okay, or you can just uninstall it altogether...

Re: CPU Overload due to Audio Interface?
Whats your buffer size set at?
Are you certain you're running the most recent drivers? Have you optimized windows for audio (http://www.focusrite.com/answerbase/en/ ... hp?id=1071)?
Is it possible you have a defective unit? it does happen from time to time....

Re: quick export question......
Update 2: Figured out the problem.....success! On my mastering chain I was using FabFilter Pro-Q to enhance the stereo width of certain frequencies in the mix. Some of those frequencies were in the high range (specifically 7040hz & 14080hz), and I had a rather sizable gain on them of around 4db....
