Re: Online mastering doubt.
Sorry man, I don't know what to say, this sounds like a trust issue more than anything. It's like anything in life when it comes to stealing I guess, the only keeping most people from doing it is knowing that it's the wrong thing to do. The only way to completely guarantee that no one steals your i...

Re: Online mastering doubt.
A mastering engineer who steals someone's tracks would not be a mastering engineer for long at all. I mean, there's no reason for them to do this at all, if people found out they would no longer be in business and likely sued as well. A reputible mastering engineer takes this very seriously, from p...

Online mastering doubt.
Hi I hope that my query doesn't get misinterpreted or offends. This is a genuine question that I would like people's input on. Let's say I decide to get a pro to master my tracks online. I send them all the stems and whatever else. The thought occurred to me, what is there to stop the person/company...

Re: Faith VS Atheism
I believe in the Easter Bunny, because Easter exists. :) Sorry mate, but your line of argument is invalid and no offence, but just a red herring. We are talking about real possibilities, aren't we? I think we can all agree that there is no such thing as the Easter bunny. but religion always has thi...

Re: Faith VS Atheism
I'm probably asking for trouble and common sense tells me to avoid this thread, but here goes anyway. I am a deist. I have yet to hear a convincing argument for atheism, yet I can think of many more arguments why there must be a creator. I say people who are athiests either haven't really thought a...

Re: Guitar Plug ins
Hello again, After getting my Guitar Rig 4 update I have to agree that it is the best sounding of the guitar amp modellers. I would still recommend Overloud TH1 as it is as good with clean sounds, but Grig4 does distortion better. Overloud though is far kinder to CPU use, so I will get it eventually...

Re: Guitar Plug ins
I think you've made up your mind already, go for Overloud if thats what you want. :D I can't say I have had any CPU glitch problems with GR4 running multiple instances in large Live sets, sometimes playing live that way. I don't think you can get better modulation and control on your Guitar effects...

Re: Guitar Plug ins
Guitar Rig isn't really any worse for CPU than other amp sims, which are all hungry - recommendation - turn off any modules which aren't being used (some presets have modules in them which aren't used they are bypassed/power off) and reduce the load by clicking the high resolution mode button to tu...

Re: Guitar Plug ins
If you havent upgraded to Guitar Rig 4 then that is the way to go. New amps, new FX including master FX tool plus the veeeery nice new Control Room way of micing up and mixing amps with different types of mic and cabinet. s'nice. Coolplex and Iceverb are worth the upgrade on their own really. I wil...

Guitar Plug ins
Hi Noticed the Pod Farm Platinum going for a good price (99 euros) but I am put off by using an i-Lock, yet willing to compromise if it is really good. There doesn't seem to be a way to try a demo without a key. Also tried Overloud TH 1. Also needs a key but can work with a license file. I have to s...

Re: New laptop question
a 13" macbook pro cus it feels so damn sturdy. my 2-year old vaio is literally falling apart. also, the battery & the trackpad The 13 inch appeals because it's small and portable. But once again the specs compared to the Lenovo makes me think twice. But another plus point for the Mac is th...

Re: New laptop question
The audio interface is already decided. My Novation X-Station 25. I may consider a firewire interface later on but it's not a priority. I mainly use my desktop PC for multiple in and out duties. But I see that you may be suggesting that Macs bang for the buck fall short. Which brings me to ask is it...
