its not the release that's a problem its the sustain. a sounds sustain is controled by the length of the midi note. if its fine when the note is lengthened then the problem can only be with the sustained portion of the sound. which means you need to be altering the Decay part of the ADSR envelope.

i use it, I've only had it a few weeks but its great, i use it mostly for quick access to sound files from my old tunes. also used it to rid my self of the many duplicates of sounds I've accumulated when a project rolls into another and gets a new name.

i think the Uk part of the uk garage name was used to set it apart from the new york house genre of garage which was pretty popular during the 90's in the uk. i've also known it be referred to as London garage.

professor Henke has a new monolake album out at the end of the month that was even more possibly & probably made with Live-9.

if you do it in arrange view, you can highlight a section and then alt-drag that section to another track or drop it strait into a simpler/sampler.

i don't understand what the problem is with extracting the single shots from loops. could it actually be any easier than a right click and slice to midi?

there's a few options for the plug in windows. you probably want to turn the "auto hide plugin windows" to off.

or may bee i'm misunderstanding whats happening.

having an input device other than a mouse should be your absolute priority.

If you're mousing around ableton you don't know what you are missing out on.


As you plan to get both over time anyway its wise to start with what you haven't got. which I'm assuming is a controller.

i dont have the APC thesedays and cant remeber how i had this set up. but you should be able to swap any instrument for any you prefer, if you need to change sounds their will be a midi pitch plug for each step/sequence you can use to dial into whatever pitch/sound you need. i build similar things (...
