I had this exact same issue, and it all came down to a clip I had set to PRO in the warp method. As soon as I changed it to anything else, my audio played back fine no matter what I was doing. Track locator dissapears when playing, in session view, with a long piece, i am about 15 minutes in, try to pop locater back a few seconds to re record vocals and the locator is gone, hit play and its still gone until you save the track?
