Best to address all Live 12 questions to the Centerfode forum.
I think a person needs to be accepted onto the beta to see the L12 centercode forum eh?

Source: man who cannot see that centercode forum

Re: Group tracks as clips / group clip editor

I strongly approve of this idea and believe Ableton should get on it. However, I do have the suspicion that this sort of idea (encapsulation ) has been suggested for nearly 20 years and has had no movement so far. But we can hope. Perhaps lucky number 13 will bring some more flexibility and non-line...

Re: Live 12 - new browser

No, you would need to create your own tags in Live for that. It's unusual that Live isn't pulling in the bpm of the mp3, which would be from the ID3 tag. I seem to remember that previous versions of Live have grabbed that tag and stored it in the Database even though its never been exposed via a UI...

Re: Can someone recommend a 5 metre Usb C cable?

As I don't own a push I can't comment authoritatively on what works with those devices but I do have a lot of music gear on long USB cables and did all the research to figure out the power and bandwidth standards. etc. it's very likely you need a USB 3.1 "active" cable, also called a "...

Re: Live 12 - Do we have keyboard shortcut remapping yet?

A slight tangent: Is there a keyboard shortcut for the little tiny arrow which opens up the full interface of synths like wavetable? I have reduced dexterity these days and hitting that little tiny bastard is a real pain. My mouse hand isn't very accurate anymore so it's like a very un fun game. No...

Re: Live 12 is coming !

Here's a new feature that's not mentioned on the main "What's New in L12" page but that should make many people happy: A Keep Monitoring Latency in Recorded Audio option has been added to the ... Oh my god, the amount of time I've spent tangling with this exact issue . It never bothered m...

Re: Live 12 - new browser

Actually it was improved just to quiet Angstrom up. Fun fact! 👍 Hahah. yeah, right. The funny thing is - ages ago I made a wireframe mockup of what I thought the Browser should look like. And that wireframe looks almost exactly like what was implemented, so it's exactly right for me and that surely...

Re: Live 12 - new browser

I have always wondered why angstrom isn't in the closed beta team... I was on the " Alpha" team a loooong long time ago . I think my main flaw for beta testing is that I'm too opinionated. I express my opinions too vociferously when there's pushback, or disinterest. That's not what a beta...

Re: Live 12 - new browser

Kind of sad to see this one put to bed, we’ll have to find something new to complain about! Wait. Do you think I have run out of complaints?  Let me tell you about a little thing called "Arrangements". Did you know that in other DAWs they allow users to make chunks out of secti...

Re: Live 12 is coming !

Looks interesting. But whether it's 179GBP of interesting I'm not so sure. I always go for the pre-order. It's pointless to wait on the purchase part. It's sensible to wait on using L12 as your main DAW ... but why wait on the purchase? I just get the discount and sit on my hands until everyone say...

THIS IS ACCEPTABLE TO ME Haha, I knew it! Re: Live 12 is coming !

Congrats to everyone who worked on this, there are some interesting things in there. Some totally bananas things too, I've never really had a desperation for scalar support and whenever people requested itit I'd say"but how would they even do that?" So, it's pretty hilarious to see it inte...
