i agree, the mpc2000 does sound alot more punchier. i thought the 1000 was going to be the same but its different. i think they used the same sample engine as the s2000- i dunno. its a shame that the screens sucked and that its hard to easily get sounds on it. the scuzzy sucks. check this little pr...

I cant really remeber the exact name(cause its not in front of me) but im using the edirol pcr1. The sound quality is not bad and its good if u move around alot. I also have had no problems with usb connections and drivers ect.

Ive gone from samplers to computer, and now lappy. I have not seen a difference of performance between my old workstation and my newer slimmed down version. Laptops are where its at. Now that I have one I dont think i can live without it.

I went with a dell laptop (centrino 1.87 1 gig of ram) and have had no problems. I use it for Live, Photoshop and Illustrator with no conflicts or crashes.
