Re: Producers blues
step 1: finish something!!
This will make you feel much better about it all. Even if it's not perfect (if you aim for perfection the whole time, you'll likely disappoint yourself).
step 2: that's it actually - if you want to be a songwriter/producer, you just need to start finishing your songs.

Re: Exporting Ableton files for Reason?
Hi Guys, I have a producer who wants to remix a tune I created in Ableton. Unfortunately, he uses Reason. Is there a way I can export my Ableton file to make it compatible? Is there even a stand alone converter to make the .als file a .rns file? Thanks!!! How would that work??? Assuming Reason can ...

Re: how can i recover deleted work?
Data recovery is not going to work in this case since the version of the set with the lost track in it has already been overwritten with the version without it.
Might haves to check out testdisk though, I've a 1.5tb in a similar state.

Re: WHICH ONE???!?!?!?!!
Have to agree, for live performance and production work, neither option is particularly good - both setups would be far more suited to DJing.

Basically, no, sorry. It's gone.
Tough lesson to learn, but you'll maybe end up with something better in the end...

Are you running any other programs when you open Live up? Some other program could be hogging your audio interface, maybe try closing everything else (particularly programs that use audio), then opening Live.

Re: Another reason why Ableton is NOT a pro DAW
Damn, in all the music I've written, released and sold (pretty much entirely created in Live) I've never even felt the need for online spectral repair OR bezier curves... I better start contacting people to give them their money back.
