Re: Accidental Plagiarism
All music is inspired from other music and as long as you put work in it and your own touch it isn’t plagiarism in my book. I find “passive listening” to be the best source of inspiration for me. In essence it is probably kind of like remembering a melody. Put on a random song on your MP3 player or ...

I’m pretty sure you have the “right” to work and live wherever you want in the EU as en EU citizen.
But there’s still a lot of paperwork involved for taxes, etc. They won’t turn you down but you’ll still have to get in touch with the host country’s authorities.

Re: Building a cheap PC for recording
I don’t think “cheap” and recording is a paradox at all. Pretty much any current PC + an acceptable sound card should be more than enough to run live just fine. First, if price is really an issue and you don’t need portability, get a desktop. You’ll have more for less. 7200 rpm HDD is pretty much st...

Re: I have $700 CAN, what to spend it on?

JamVox and guitar frequency cancellation
Hello, I’m a guitarist and I’m intrigued by the JamVox. Not so much the device itself but the software that comes with it. Basically it allows you to “remove” the lead guitar parts of a song to play along yourself. The result isn’t perfect obviously. You only have the final song/master track to work...

New member: Hello there!
Hello Gentlemen, I have been lurking these forums for a long time now, but I haven’t posted, until now. I’ve been playing guitars for years and (since I don’t really have a band) have recently started looking for ways to record and accompany myself. I tried several workstations (FL Studio, Logic, et...
