Re: Synth Funky Lead
However, still not the same sound. I guess I'll have better chances with some plugins emulating the minnimoog. Any suggestions which one is preferable (didn't get very far with Steinberg's Model E... Re: New Apple Arm Chip worth waiting for?
It seems Apple Silicon is not going to be an ARM chip but something developed by Apple that may or may not use some functions which ARM developed. Which models will get it and when remains to be seen. The Minis that have been made available to developers seem to be based around the iPad Pro technolo...

Re: vocals
Do you mean the already recorded sound is getting recorded again, along with your vocals? If so two possibilities come to mind. One is that your microphone is picking up the sound from the other tracks, if that's the problem a pair of closed back headphones that don't leak sound should sort the prob...

Re: Synth Funky Lead
Try this: Go into "instruments" in the browser and drag the Analog instrument into a MIDI track without picking a preset.. Switch off Osc2 Set Osc1 to a sawtooth. That's the basic wave-form. Now for the filter. Set the Fil1 to Fil2 ratio to 0% and FIl1 to "LP24". Lower the filter...

Re: Ableton sent me wrong file, and I can't contact them! Very frustrating.
Yes, but my license list clearly states that I've been appropriated a "Live 10 Mac license". As has already been said, the license list has a pull-down menu in a grey box. I’ve accessed it on both Mac and PC and it always has “Mac OS64 bit” showing. Click on it and it offers the Windows 6...

Re: Options.txt depreciated in Live 10 ... -DontCombineAPCs workaround?
My reading of the help page linked to by the OP is that the only thing deprecated in Live 10 is the stuff under the heading “ThinningAggressiveness (Live 9 Only)” There is the overall warning that the options.txt file may cease to be supported some time in the future, but Live 10 does allow the use ...

Live 10 certainly works with Catalina.
As for LoopBe1, isn’t that Windows only?

Re: Is my iMac too old for Ableton Live 10?
I still use Mojave. Does anyone know if it's okay to upgrade to Catalina too? :) Check you’ve no non-Apple vital software that’s 32 bit first (the Mac’s system report tool can tell you which applications are and aren’t 32 bit), do the same with plugins. Other than that I think you should be OK. Cat...

Re: Mac users & aggregate audio devices
To quote from Apple's instructions: "With the new Aggregate Device selected, enable the checkbox labeled "Use" on the left side of the Audio Devices window. Do this for each device you want to include in the Aggregate Device. The order in which you check the boxes determines the order...

Re: Support for 8khz input
Unless you are recording infrasound your best option is to use something better than that headset. An 8KHz sampling frequency has less bandwidth than many modern telephones and really is too low to record a human voice with acceptable audio quality. So it’s not surprising Live doesn’t support it. I ...

What might boot camp have to do with anything?

Re: Audio stops outputting when I plug in my midi keyboard
Check what Audio Setup is using when everything's plugged in. I’ve noticed my Catalina iMac tends to try to use the built-in sound as the system default unless I specifically tell it to use my RME - just plugging the RME in doesn’t seem to auto-switch the system to using it.

Re: Avoiding third party plugin crashes during performances
From memory, you need to go into device manager, locate the wi-fi adaptor, right click on it and select "disable". Don't use the delete or uninstall option, whatever it's called, because Windows will simply load up a fresh copy of the driver and launch it again. Ethernet, in my experience ...

Re: Recording Harmonica | Software problem !!
I’m guessing a bit, but the crackles almost sound like the D/A convertor (or Live’s master channel) is being clipped slightly while exporting, maybe reducing the export volume level a little or putting a brick-wall limiter on the master channel set to output no higher than -1dB might help. Another p...
