How to use velocity zones in a rack
Hi, I'm trying to setup a very basic velocity zone but can't seem to get it to work. Based on the input of a midi note what I'd like to do is: 1) I'd like to have notes with velocity 0 to 99 have their pitch decreased 2) I'd like to have notes with velocity 100 to 127 have their pitch increased So w...

Random automation generator
Similar to the many suggestions for an LFO that can be assigned to any parameter (including any VST parameter), could also make it have a random value function to gradually change or change in leaps. Could be fun to assign it, hit play, record, then see what happens.

Re: Route Audio track to MIDI track
Thanks ShelLuser for the reply. That's not quite what I'm looking for, maybe this will help clarify: I'd like to be able to send Midi on/off/dynamics info from a midi track to play audio clips in an audio track. E.g. C1 in a midi track plays a kick sample in an audio track (doesn't matter which midi...

Route Audio track to MIDI track
Anyone know how to route audio from an audio track to a midi track? So the midi track "plays" the audio from the audio track? For example, say in session view I have a audio track with a kick sample. Then in a midi track I have a midi clip with 4 C1 notes. Is there a way to route the kick ...

Re: Editing, working out multiple vocal tracks?-need some tips!
I find that I need to draw volume automation over the vocals to get the levels even (compressors don't usually cut it for me)

Re: Turn beats into synths
I downloaded this and am puzzled at how it works...anyone know how the clips are able to change the pitch of the source audio? Specifically, the clips in the Major Scale track are pitched beats, and depending which one you play, it will change the pitch of the audio coming from the Beat track. In an...

Re: How to do this: wave-ify a master track as seen in Tik Tok
I just don't understand why you would want to make the wave to look a certain way... It's not really that I care about making a wave look a certain way, I'm more curious about the reasons why a producer would go through the trouble of making a wave form look this way. Maybe (and this is just specul...

Nope, I know it sounds odd, but I'm curious how this could be done and figured someone on the forum would know how.MacGuffin wrote: is this a joke?

Re: How to do this: wave-ify a master track as seen in Tik Tok
would be helpful if you posted the second count too. . Here's a shot with the seconds, and I also added a sine wave and my attempt with a vocoder http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/7537/mytoestoes2.jpg but it doesnt look like a sine to me (or it would just be deep deep bass). I agree, it definitely...

Re: Consolidating Tracks
I don't think there's a quick key like Ctrl-J, but resampling doesn't take too long (set a blank track's input type = resampling, solo the tracks you want to consolidate, then record into the blank track).

How to do this: wave-ify a master track as seen in Tik Tok
Hi, Anyone know how to "wave-ify" parts of a master track? To clarify, here's a part of Kesha's Tik Toc (it's from the beginning and consists of the phrase "My toes toes": http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3272/mytoestoes.jpg The left half of the waveform surprisingly looks like a...

Re: Reverse chord finder
Hey funken- Thanks for posting the link - I think that site is fast and useful. I previously downloaded a gigantic spreadsheet of chords and it's a pain to use to look them up. This site works in a flash. And even if I had a PhD in music theory, I could still use this site to come up with creative i...

Re: Need Help Eq'ing
Like the other posters said I don't think you'll be able to take out reverb with compression or EQing. Besides the room treatment suggestions, you could try recording the vocals with a thick blanket over your head (seriously).
