How do I record things like device on/off into an arrangement that I've already created? Global recorded my song, now I want to go back and toggle my effects on and off... but record/encode that into my recorded arrangement.

What software can I use to snag audio from things like youtube videos, flash games, stuff like that? Any good free programs?

A buddy of mine has an Akai MPK25. When using it to control Midi instruments there is a delay between hitting the key and hearing the note. He has followed the basic FAQ advice on this issue - buffer size i think? - and there's no improvement. Thoughts?
