Re: Logic's swing equivalents

bump Anyone know the Logic swing equivalents compared to the new Logic Groove Templates in Live 8? Especially for 16C or 16D. Hi, Live 8.0.2 comes with swing grooves based on Notator SL. These should be identical to the ones used in Logic. Best, Daniel Daniel I'm not sure I understand, I use logic ...

Re: Is there a best key for writing dance music in? Yes...

well excuse me but no shit! ;) there are some keys that sound fantastic on club systems, the "money frequencies" are def 48hz-65hz... that's why writing tracks in some keys sucks because your sub bass is too high to get any umphf out of it. this page should be on every producers book mark ...

Yes but Beatport has final say, I could put whatever genre i want but beatport still picks at the end of the day, that's a fact.

Re: Do you think Beatport charts are a load of rubbish?? Read on

no one's to "blame" here, i for one think toolroom has a great thing going but opinions aside, beatport at the end of the day controls what genre your tracks get tagged as. If you think your tracks are psychedelic rock infused 80s glam but beatport labels it as Progressive Trance that has ...

Re: Poor quality WAV export

what is your limiter set to? -0.1? Most normal audio players have a very hard time w/ anything higher than that, what limiter are you using? does it have a built in dither? I've had issues in the past using a 24bit dither on a limiter and rendering in 32bit. try and keep everything consistent :)

weird, humor me for a second and set it to "auto" not "off" like you have it right now. On your render, you're rendering form "Master" right?

Re: Splitting an Audio\MIDI Clip Into 3 Channels

probably best to duplicate the entire channel (cmd + d) 3 times, you probably wont' want the EXACT same patch on each bits, one could have a slightly different phase point, detuned, filter etc. for more control i'd duplicate all 3 :)

Re: Calm discussion of the main audio idiosyncrasies in Live

The only one im bothered about is the delay compensation. Live doesnt seem to compensate for plugin delay properly. which is a major pain especially if you're trying to process different channels in parallel, with sends and returns all over the place. full plugin delay compensation is a standard fe...

Re: Suggestions on how to mimic/duplicate this patch?

do you not know how to read the ARP2600? It's a bit confusing but the manual is FREE online so i think you should dig thru and use ableton's analog for this, the patch does not look complicated at all:
