Re: which active nearfield monitors should i buy?

Dont fall so easily for the endorser trick it is all about money. However the analogy is like you married to a bitch no matter how well you know her she will be the bitch, does knowing that make the situation that much better ? I don't think Junkie XL is endorsed by them but he did recommend them a...

MPC sequencers are very well done, especially for styles like hiphop. But it became too slow and limiting for me after a while. I'd rather have Live and padkontrol over mpc1000.

you'll probably be better off with a padkontrol and a x-session.

Re: which active nearfield monitors should i buy?

You may be able to hear good things about them. But i highly doubt you will hear good things from them  I don't know about that. Junkie XL and Crystal Method must hear good things from them to use them. It's not the price tag or name of brand that makes speakers sound good. It's more about kn...

the pads on the MK are pretty stiff. i wouldn't recommend them for ffinger tapping of drums. you would really need to be beating them hard on a really solid surface to get good feel. the faders+knobs are fine. the keys are fine, maybe small if you have the little MK rather than the bigger ones with...

I just found out that Trigger Finger's pads transmit midi notes, velocity, and user-definable midi CC# (but not aftertouch) that respond to pressure.

I am surprised how good the Korg`s pads are [...] As comparison Korgs microKontrol pads are the most useless thing Korg ever made So padKontrol's pads are different than microKontrol's? I figured they would be the same not only because they're both made by Korg but also because both microkontrol an...

You can put a bit of glue, hot glue or something to get them to stick. look at the joystick closely, can you see a manufacturer and/or part number? Post a pic, maybe we can find who makes it and you can order it direct. I don't see a part number but its a 4-way joystick (with switch). Here's a pic ...

microKontrol sliders & joystick coming off. Reorder parts?

Any microkontrol users out there? The sliders on mine keep coming off (from being carried in my bag from playing out with it a lot) and I can't seem to get them back on there (well, one of them got back on there somehow). There are notches on the side underneath the sliders that looks like it's supp...

Info on new (3rd generation) faderfox LC2, LD2, & SY2

Does anyone have more inside scoop on the upcoming faderfox LC2 available in december? In case you don't know it's the new version of LV2 with a crossfader. According to Mathias as quoted in CDM : "LC2 will have a crossfader instead the upper button row on LV2." It sounds like then it woul...

smallest midi controller?

What's the smallest midi controller out right now besides x-session?
Features I'm looking for are being usb bus-powered (which rules out faderfox) and a crossfader (but if not, some kind of slider would do).

Yeah, the mpc2000 pads are pressure-sensitive. So is this right: MPD-16 & MPD-24: velocity & pressure sensitive Trigger-Finger: velocity & pressure sensitive padKontrol: velocity only (this is surprising since someone here said padKontrol pads were more sensitive than triggerfinger. I wa...
