Re: New 12 voice polyphonic analogue synth from Behringer
Yeah, I watched that vid yesterday. I must admit, I'm pretty darn excited. I'm really interested to see what the "affordable" price tag is.

Re: Where can I find a great synth sound?
After three days with several demo instruments, I bought Serum. I like the workflow. Synthhacker makes some great fast paced YouTube videos about Serum that show how he creates sounds. Those are excellent tutorials for learning how to adjust the sound to get what I want. I bought a pack of his soun...

Re: Where can I find a great synth sound?
I like this rent-to-own subscription model. Makes more sense to me than paying into eternity or lose everything. You can get Serum presets on Splice too. :) There aren’t tons and they are 3 credits a preset, but it’s nice to have. I recently bumped my subscription to 300 credits a month with a maxi...

Oh yeah? I need to do that, mate! That's awesome. Another Splice win!beats me wrote:Just got an email from Splice.com that you can rent-to-own Serum through them for $9.99 a month. Have never heard of a deal like that for a plugin.

Re: Where can I find a great synth sound?
Yes indeed. You can get some great sounds from Abletons instruments. Operator is my fave...beats me wrote:Serum is great for EDM, probably the top soft synth for that right now.
Also get to know Ableton’s instruments a bit more, but Serum should get you where you want quicker.

Other good EDM options include Synthmaster, Diva and Zebra. :0). All 3 are great sounding. Especially Diva!

Re: Excellent choir/vocals sound
Here is how I resolved Stability Issues Video Example: EWQL Final Fantasy VI intro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dttTCGkgi6g a. Load All Samples into Ram (allowable ram) b. Use a seperate PLAY instance for each track, for example I created my own template pack that loads example: Drag 'n Drop SO ...

Re: Excellent choir/vocals sound
I am looking for a very well sounding choir/vocals that works great with Ableton. I would appreciate all your recommendations! Thank you! EWQL Voices of Passion, SonoKinetic Solo Vocal Bundle, Realivox Ladies, and Realivox Blue are some of the best vocal plug ins on the planet. And the EW Play engi...

Re: Excellent choir/vocals sound
I second Exhale - it's an amazing plugin. If you're looking for more traditional choirs, East West has a crazy realistic choir. You can even program words into it and it will sing them! I think I saw a post here about that somewhere. However, East West don't use Kontakt and instead use their own eng...

Re: Live 9.7-another update for Simpler, but what about Sampler?
I much prefer a linear workflow, with the option of clips. Actually you do hit the weak spot of the push right there and I appreciate you point it out. That the Push doesn't support the clips in Arrangement equally to Session is not a wise strategy of Ableton I think. I don't see a good reas...

Re: Live 9.7-another update for Simpler, but what about Sampler?
I still don’t know what the advantages of using Sampler over Simpler are and vice versa. I guess Sampler is just more capable than Simpler - Sampler has some sweet oscillator functions and you really can go mad with the multiple LFO functionality. Oh, and dem zones. I suppose the expense is it take...

Re: Label wants me to pay for mastering, etc.
You pay for mastering and promotion? This sounds crazy to me. Isn't this what actually a label does? They should be using their resources to promote your stuff, otherwise wtf are they actually doing?. That's pretty normal. The artist is responsible for pretty much every single cost. Usually l...

Re: remix offer terms, reasonable or not?
They're certainly interesting terms, mate. Some items seem a bit odd - especially the line about you having the right to put the track out on another label...that one is totally bizarre.
This is all 100% digital, mate?
