Nope, its a free one called Mixmeister BPM Analyzer. I'll take a look at that one you just linked me to and see how it goes, thanks :)

ID3 to filename with BPM

I just loaded all of my songs into itunes (from wma to mp3 :D) and ive got a free bpm analyzer, which is pretty accurate and loads the bpm into the ID3 tag of each mp3. I want to do two things with Itunes and ID3 tags though: 1) Reorganise my Itunes folder into Album artist, not artist. This means t...

MIDI questions again!

Hey. Im using a vst called "yoink" and its a on the fly recorder and looper. My idea was that i wanted to be able to record a bar of my output in live and reverse it while playing live. At first i thought to have a "resample" track and then record a bar then hit the reverse butto...

Desktop PCs?

Has anyone had experience of using Desktop PCs rather than laptops to DJ/perform live? It seems like a lot of hassle compared to using a laptop but i prefer the feel of a desktop.

I don't think speaker on is a feature in the clip envelope editor. Instead you can use the Volume envelope, and just set where you want the speaker on to volume = 100%, and where you want the speaker off to be volume at 0%.

try the RAM setting on your clips too, i think that helps. And it helps to "warm up" your files before playing. 2 weeks ago today i had to do a 3 hour set for my school disco, and i warmed up the clips first and they all worked fine.

You could always add the "pitch" midi effect to all of your MIDI tracks and set it to transpose 1 octave or whatever down. That's to do all your MIDI tracks but wont do anything to your audio tracks. I suggest a pitchshifter VST for your audio tracks - "Pitchslap" is one i know of.

Randomisation of almost anything - I love autohotkeys!

I dont know if this is new, I'm very new to Autohotkey but I made a script to sort out one big problem i found with live. If you want to randomise a particular parameter, say the variation of a beat repeat on the master track, there seems to be no way to set this automatically. But I made a script t...

Open a blank live set, and press stop twice. Do NOTHING else for now. Then go to preferences --> file folder --> and click the top button "Save set as template". This means that when you open a new live set it will open a copy of the set you saved. So for example if you want to have all yo...

im so confused :( MIDI questions.

im just about to get a midi controller (Behringer BCR2000) and ive never used one before. i have a few questions: Firstly, if i map a knob to "Track 1 volume" via the MIDI key assign, then create a new track and move it to track 1, will the mapping automatically move, so that original knob...

I'm trying to isolate the "HUUUMAN" from daft punk's human after all.. because i want to put together a cover of their live encore/the intro to their live set (human..robot etc :p). Any tips? I can get rid of the bass and the kick drum but theres a snare in the middle that i cant get rid o...

Yeah but it doesnt tend to bend very far. My advice is to find the VST plugin "Dub Siren", then sample it "sirenning" upwards, then slow it down using warping. This may work. Or you could try using a loop and then use a MIDI controller to increase the transposition by centitones...

If i were to use 2 keyboards, i could set one on caps lock and use AHK..would give loads more clip launching/effect on and off options...which would be really powerful along side a midi controller :D
