Curious to know what you think the issue might have been? The Ventura update improved a certain video codec compatibility maybe?
Asking cos I’ve haven’t had any video problems on an M1Max MBP for the last 12 months.

Re: Videosync - any feedback ??
Hi Calagan. Yes absolutely! One way is to use Dummy Clips. If you're not familliar with the idea of Dummy Clips in Live, it's the idea that you can have clips in a track that has its input monitor set to IN. These clips can contain automation even though they are not playing audio, they play back au...

Re: Gain staging while performing with Ableton Live
Hi, we’re an electronic band that plays live. Because we do a lot of live dubs and manipulation of the mix on stage we have an operating level of about -12db on Live’s master output. We use an RME Fireface 800 which has very clean and quiet (as in noise floor) outputs. We go from the outputs of the ...

Re: How to avoid feedback when having heavy vocal effects during a live performance?
As Calagan said speakers behind you is an absolute no-no. There is a 99.99% chance this was your main problem. Another thing to think about is too much compression on a live vocal can cause feedback issues. Have a think about how a compressor works: it turns down the volume when the threshold is exc...

YAY! For extra points, pull down the volume somewhere in the system while the scrolling is in progress and don't annoy your friends / collegues with it

Re: Restart Scene at a Chosen Place
Hi Calagan, I just checked with a simple Set with one audio clip and one MIDI clip, and it works here. Here's a screen recording of it working: https://www.mediafire.com/file/eumsyqa3jnhwxwb/Re-starting+CLips.mp4/file I think perhaps I didn't describe it correctly before? Trigger scene > while scene...

Re: Restart Scene at a Chosen Place
Hi, in my experience it works in Session View. Sorry to hear its not working for you - can you describe the run of actions you're doing and we'll try to get to the bottom of it :) To be fair, this method can get squirrily of you have Follow Actions in force in the given Scene. In my experience, not ...

Re: Restart Scene at a Chosen Place
Hi Calagan, the idea is based on the fact that you can “scroll” or “shuttle” the bar counter by click+holding on it and dragging the cursor upwards. So you can trigger a scene, then advance the transport by dragging / shuttling the bar counter to later in the scene. If you want you could just let th...

Yep, it appears the only way to “automate“ Stutter Edit is to record the midi note you use to trigger presets.

Re: Videosync - any feedback ??
Been doing live video for 25 years, and in the last 12 months I’ve moved both delivery and a lot of my video creation over to Videosync. I have to say it’s a fantastic piece of software! Yes, it absolutely does what it says on the tin - play videos from Session View - but to me the greatest thing ab...

Re: Is it possible to avoid clicks when launching scenes ???
Try using the COMMAND-E function to Remove Stop Buttons where they aren’t needed. I had this problem ages ago, it seems that triggering a whole horizontal row of “empty” clip slots has a cpu penalty.
