Mattofix wrote:Thanks guys, but I meant the bass sound, not the kick sound

they are telling you how to make bass sounds, not kick sounds. its a common technique - pitch and filter 808 kick and toms.

Re: I've tryed maschine and decided to stay on the mpc

Hey guys - i've just copped maschine myself a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. Here's a link providing a workaround for recording track mutes and some other sequencing stuff: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147445 Now, I'm going to take advantage of this unique collectio...

Live 9 wish list - already possibile with M4L?

I'm a long time user of Live, but know little about MAX and M4L. I've got my own wishlist for features in Live 9 (which justify in my mind why an upgrade/update would take so long), but I was wondering if any of them could be done by programming M4L? 1. Automation in session 2. Graphics engine overh...

Get On With It

That's my advice for newbs and pros alike.

Forget about your gear, past success, past failures.

Just get on with it.

That's the "Secret."

Re: Only want to hear "wet" signal using soundflower (routing)

You can achieve the sought after results in two principle ways: using SENDS or using INSERT FX. SENDS 1. Route the audio from iTunes to an audio track in ableton. 2. Place effects on a Return track in ableton. 3. Right click on the audio track in ableton which carries the dry source signal from iTun...

Re: Ex ableton developers release fist Teaser of their Program

Honestly Angstrom, if you had told me to have a glass of water and a wank in response to a post I made I would be bloody furious as well. If nothing else it's dismissive and I think most people would take offence to it. If you said it to somebody you didn't know that well in a bar it would likely l...

Re: Plastikman's Kapture - Anyone have an earlier version?

The version on the Liine website only works with Ableton 8.2.2 which I don't have and can't afford to upgrade at the moment. The version on the liine website is labelled as v2.0 does any one have v1.0? Or a version that will work with my Ableton version 8.1.3. Cheers for any help. You can upgrade t...

Re: ableton live 8 at mac pro xeon quad core 3 ghz

Using MacbookPro 2.3 i7, with max polyphony, I max the processor at 40%

Most of the patches hover between 20-30% with max polyphony.

Edit: this was running off the battery, not the mains.

Re: UI Feature Suggestions for MAC

I quite disagree with the browser switch from left to right because when working with loops/clips I find dragging the loop faster Hmmmm...do you think it would any slower switching the browser around? Why? In session view, right-side browser is fine, its in arrangement where I find the left-side lo...

UI Feature Suggestions

1. Support for Multi-Touch Gestures. I would love for LIVE to support multi-touch gestures, such as pinch-to-zoom. Currently, I use drag-lock to zoom in arrangement, but I would love a global pinch-to-zoom for both session and arrangement. 2. Switch Location of Browser from Left Side to Right Side. ...

Re: I need help with choosing the right MacBook

I have an MBP, 13", base model with 2.4 Ghz processor, purchased last November, which works fine running Live Suite. I do not use any plugins or other software. My process involves 6 tracks which I improvise on the fly, nothing prerecorded. Two of these are audio, guitar and vocals. The other ...
