Re: New Novation's Product
Why not just get a beat step pro and save yourself half the purchase price of the circuit. I think you have to want to use the sounds for it to be worth buying.

Re: Hello i could really use some help!
You need to read up on midi mapping. You can map buttons on the touch key to effect on/offs and clip launches. You need to read up what a clip is and what a device is as well. You also need to read up on midi routing. It's all in the manual. I think a lot of it was written by men, so you won't feel ...

Re: re-recording in session view
Right! So yeah you can jam out an arrangement in session view and record it using the main record button on the transport bar. Maybe even use loop braces on the arrangement time line. Then move the loop braces to the new bit on the arrangement time line. And then press the Back To Arrangement button...

Re: Have we lost something since we killed "the demo"
Nice thought about the increasing contiguity of recordings. I think that in the West, musical evolution has slowed down since the 90s... maybe the ability to reuse and rework material from earlier recordings has made for a more conservative music culture. Really tho', from the moment people started ...

Re: How to program a "pop" sound
Have a look at how kick drums are synthesised. Kicks are sort of low frequency pops. I don't know if there is an operator version of a clap... but that would be helpful to look at as well.

Re: Avoid dissonance / analysis plugin to avoid dissonance
I've used this to roughly figure out keys of tracks for djing without headphones.www.ibrahimshaath.co.uk/keyfinder/ And for some generative stuff where I can't manage dissonance by listening to individual files.. I guess if i was working entirely with complex samples I would pitch stuff up and down ...
