Re: Push 2 coming soon?
Hey guys, 1 question on the muting/soling on push 2: is there any mode where I can have all the lower display buttons to be track mutes w/o holing the mute button on the left? this is the behavior from push 1 back in the days. push 2 seems to have instant muting the current track by pressing mute or...

Re: Help on ableton meters...
6dB represents half the voltage of a signal, yes. Psychoacoustically, 10dB is the half. But for faders, nearly no DAW puts -6dB half the way. For waveform displays, that's another story.

Re: Live 9.5
does the auto update work for anyone from 9.2.3 to 9.5? or does it have to be manually (including looking for all the updated packs?)

Re: Which One?
Sorry, but you seem to compare two veeery different products (except that both are sound sources). A physical VA synth vs. a VST for cinematic special effects.
How should we give you advice since you seem to have no preferences?

Hey guys, I got some feedback and reworked the track in a lot of details. Most important, I inserted a solo bass part and enhanced made the melodies' ambience. Feel free to feedback, download and listen to the history here: http://soundcloud.com/dannywho/sets/amabilia https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-...

Re: Clips in session vs. arrangement
Yeah I am pretty sure the automation does not follow unless it is recorded within the clip itself rather than the tracks automation lane so that is something to be aware of. There are workarounds and im at work so not sure what I normally do there but spend some time experimenting with basic clips ...

Re: A real panning knob
+ 1 for a real panning OPTION. abletons, please color code the pans or give us a button right above the pan. For anyone around in the centercode community from Ableton (that's where the support sends all guys to share their ideas and which is monitored by the specification theam and developers): I p...

Re: Clips in session vs. arrangement
Yes, although Live is quite flexible, there are some minor limitations and the way you describe it is the way Live works best. I'm doing it and think exactly the same way about the workflow of building a track with it. Am I right that there is no way of moving automation back to session? Tons of par...

After years of learning now my first track, please feedback
Hey guys, I own Ableton Live for 6 years now and finally made a whole electronica track including self-mastering. It's entirely created in the box. Please feedback on: Relative levels Track separation Stereo image Homogenity Loudness and anything else you think considerable. What is good, what needs...

Re: Clips in session vs. arrangement
You're getting it right, they're independent. You have the option to create a new scene from selected arrangement material but FWIW, that doesn't move automation with itself into the session view. Otherwise, moving from session to arrangement also writes the related automation data.

Re: Utility Width Question
So at 200% this lead to the question what happened to the mid information (that are in both channels of the incoming signal). To really get your head around this you need to realize this is more than just panning and perhaps also study mid/side encoding. I always RTFM^^ But I don't know how to unde...

Re: Utility Width Question
Hmm, curiously, today I got the more or less the desired result. Utility creates the stereo difference, moth channels the same but phase inverted. Hitting Phz-R gives me regular mono and a second utility w/ 200% width mutes signal since there's no spatial difference. Is there any reasoning behind th...

Utility Width Question
Hey guys, When I understand it correctly: I set utility to 200% width and only differences are remaining and mixed to mono. Another „side utility“ after that should then pass nothing on (if there was a stereo difference in the source) since there’s no difference remaing. But why can I hear something...

+1. so basic and still not implementedIdonotlikebroccoli wrote:Agreed.
It would be much better to be able to just do this with the draw tool though. Also, I would so much like to right-click a breakpoint and enter a value with the keyboard.
