I'd strongly recommend this to anyone having drop-outs and/or glitches etc. Takes a while and a lot of effort in trial and error but (at least my) reward is <10ms. latency !
(found some ugly stuff in my new laptop).

Re: not a very important thing: a nicer looking GUI
Please DON'T touch the GUI!
I never liked all those flickering/blinky/bright/fancy stuff that keeps you off concentrating on the important stuff.

Re: 8.1.3???
seeing as how Ableton now apparently owes you an entire beer factory for your bug tracking the price shouldn't matter. Ableton employees can be bribed with beer, you should definitely try it sometime. And on that note: I'd buy you guys a beer, anytime. That should be worth something... Let me buy y...

Thanks. Something to think about. I REALLY REALLY hate doing web stuff, even simple html sites like mine are something to be dreaded working on as far as I'm concerned. :) Tarekith, stick to your brilliant audio/music work. we all benefit much more from the content than reading the articles on a fa...

Re: what guitar effects do you use?
exactly. try this first. (and this was what I meant by asking "stand alone" or "VST")
another thing is to slide "preset volume" to left and then increase volume slowly. perhaps you can remove the tape deck for testing.

Re: what guitar effects do you use?
how will i know if it is stand-alone? I can't here output sound from my input device like microphone or guitar. I can only the noise. Do you open Live or any VST aware application (cubase etc.) to gain access to the GUI of the program or do you run it from the start menu directly? I have realtek au...
