Browser not auditioning instruments...
I was over in a friends house and she has Ableton Live 8 which she's never used. So we fired it up and I was showing her around but the browser wouldn't audition any of the instruments. Whether it was Analog or Drum Racks, no matter what I clicked on there was no audition. Any ideas why this is happ...

Re: Push 1 and 2, phantom movement of rotary knobs...
This was an encoder issue on my APC40 some time ago. The fix for me was to use a spray fader cleaner called Deoxit F5. I removed the plastic caps (not sure if Push's are removable or not) gave a quick spray at the base of each post, twisted them a few times and let it dry. No ghosting going on two ...

Re: Push 1 and 2, phantom movement of rotary knobs...
The feedback from the rotary is coming up on screen but the rotary is not being touched at the time. It's a phantom movement of the knob.

Push 1 and 2, phantom movement of rotary knobs...
Sometimes I am getting the display on Push 1 (similar problem for a friend with Push 2) telling me that a rotary (eg. swing, master vol, etc) is being moved but it's not being touched. Anybody have this issue or a fix for it?

Max for live tab in my browser is empty, kinda annoying...
So I've got all my Max For Live essentials and packs and all on my hard drive. I can access them from the browser by looking in packs but it's quite annoying that I can't find a way to direct the Max For Live tab to these packs. Anybody know what I should move to where in order to fix this. I just w...

Re: Problems with huge CPU spike when using Collision...
Well, your little 2009 MBP that could is doing better than my 2009 Mac Mini. I only use it as a media server on the weekends and it can’t make it through more than 2 hours of just iTunes or YouTube without suddenly rebooting. At the very least make sure you have a Time Machine drive hooked up to yo...

Re: Problems with huge CPU spike when using Collision...
You could be right there. I haven't had any real problems but a couple of very minor warning signs (a little green screening on my external monitor when opening certain programs, the odd strange behaviour here and there) lately so maybe the time is here to finally think about replacing the laptop. I...

Re: Problems with huge CPU spike when using Collision...
Thanks. Should have said: Live 9.5. It's a MacBook Pro 2009 with 4GB of RAM and it's still running very well. It's been well looked after and as I've stated it's got 58Gb free so that's over the recommended 10% minimum. Running OSX 10.9.5 I can try and share a project but as I said earlier, I just o...

Re: Problems with huge CPU spike when using Collision...
Checked my hard drive free space and I've got 58Gb of 3100Gb free space. I'm running at 44100 sample rate and I've even got the buffer size up to 2048 samples (which is ridiculous, obvs).
