Yo, It seems that the fine people at Ableton just can't help killing off my favourite skins... I lost Disco 77 a couple of versions ago and now Cardboard is gone! What the hell??? I don't like the other skins and now Live doesn't even feel like itself to me. Why would they possibly take out a skin? ...

I would get it only if you want use it just as a lo-fi drum machine - it is good for this but not for synth sounds - also don't pay more than $100

Video card is not an issues for Live & the Macbook - I use it regularly while driving a 19" external and have not had problems even while running a video track on one of the monitors...

Groove Quantize


Myself, I alwasys thought this was was Live was all about - making a groove out of disparate parts - for me this would be an essential tool - know I have to do things with REX files in reason (using the copy & paste timing functions), but it really should be in Live.

It's perfectly easy to get pirated software for Mac if that's your goal - I think that the perception that PC's have all the cracks if just plain untrue - mac users are thieves too!
