how to use "insert time"?

What does the insert time command do, how can I use it? It is always unavailable (greyed out) when I want to try it out. :?

all keys available for key mapping (", <, >, +,.,etc.)

I wonder if this a "powerbook-only" restriction, but I can only map the alphabetic characters to live functions. Even ä and ü is not working.

for plug-ins with many parameters: scrolling

please make scrolling through the unfolded device parameters available, so that all parameters can be shown (not at once of course) and be midi-mapped.
