you can drop a sample straight in to a clip slot and adjust the tempo (seg.BPM) or pitch (transpose)in the clip view

This is what I use for the sonic tuts if I have to use PC... you cant record computer audio AND mic at the same time.

screen flow on the mac is an amazing program.

Cool, It works to an extent i don't think its as practical as nexus for writing purposes but is defiantly a cool feature for live performances.

that's also possible in Live btw, no need for Nexus. Just assign a midi note range to a midi clip and off ya go.

Nexus

you should have a look at the arp in nexus it has a basic pattern sequencer that least you pick/input patterns the you just hold a sing note and it plays. really handy for basslines... means you can get the pattern right once and can just switch notes.. its also lockable so you can switch synth patc...

The problem i find with using live to edit audio is that im usual going through say 50 tracks and want to cut lots of 1/2 bar loops quickly. I sometimes use a pc and wave lab is great at this as you can select a round say 2 bars then just save selections then move the whole selection to another part...
