Re: Is there a better way than this for audio chop with Push?
Machine is a sampler and has a nice screen for displaying and chopping samples, being a sampler Machine has to have the option to chop samples within the device, Push is a midi controller and doesn't have to be able to chop samples, I wouldn't compare those! However, I've been chopping samples on Ro...

Re: Create or convert AMS Waveforms outside of Operator?
I have tested the editors and find they are missing precision. Is there an editor for ams files that lets me graphically recreate waveforms to perfection, it doesn't even have to be as ams file format, but that would be great. If you look at the editors for this file format, the mini thing in operat...

Re: How to make bass of 808?
Hi Mazi, the approach is correct... First of it's a little bit of a pain to do it 100% exact in Simpler, but never the less possible. - Set snap on, if you have a 808 kick move your Start knob a little bit, probably about 1-2%, this is so you only start the sample where your bass sound starts. Note:...

Re: New ableton update
... i've even had Live 8 and 9 running at the same time... that's pretty damn cool when digging through older material. really cool. 8) Yeah I get where you coming from, totally dig this too, and would hate to see this change, I think people can only benefit from it like you do and Ableton probably...

Re: New ableton update
agree with that, but ok, if you make daily backups I guess, I run Time Machine, but you're right, it's risky I give you that, I should probably also do them manually.eyeknow wrote:yeah, I just let mine auto update. Somewhat risky, maybe I'll stop that practice...

Re: New ableton update
I thought updates were supposed to be small files. My account only shows 9.1.1 as a full version. :?: So I have to download the whole thing again? Well in todays terms those files are small actually, depending on your internet connection "given you don't have one from the last century" th...

Re: New ableton update
i used 9.1.1 again last night with no issues. my buffer is at 128 samples... all native, no VSTs and no problems. tinkered for about 4 hours. careful when tinkering with older projects, I had a crash with Mad Zach's blend.io project promoted on the Ableton Website, he is working with version 8 and ...

Re: New ableton update
Yeah in fact this had been done in 9.1 Release Notes and 9.1b13 Release Notes, so you're right, I had some issues with 9.1, and had only gotten to this by now, all the Christmas and New Year time I was basically somewhat off the hook, and just moved to LA from Belgium. But you're right this should b...

Re: New ableton update
I may be just WAY off here, but it's going to be a third party that is going to do that. Interesting as some 3rd party plugs have controls, some just simply do not. As an example, waves and NI seem to work kinda. This is very much configured by the 3rd Party plugin itself, nothing Ableton can do al...

Re: New ableton update
I'm not sure about this but I suspect my friend's version automatically updated while he had Push mods in his directory. His Push ended up not working so he had to reinstall. When he tried to re-apply those mods, it wouldn't work. Luckily he now keeps a backup Push folder on hand to clean up the is...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
Already the name kinda turned me off (Bitwig) lol, but the idea was definitely a good one, or wait, Bidule fused with Live ain't that the same concept? xD, IDK for you guys but all I need is Live/Max/Push, and I am pretty happy, not even thinking about wearing a wig, Ha!
