Re: Rock'n'Roll meets House

hej, thank you for the feedback :) glad you dig it, at least parts of it :D The synth is of course a matter of taste, I wanted to put in something which is not really expected. So I was going for a somehow "non-standard" type of synth, a little computer-ish with some dirt. I've put it thro...

Rock'n'Roll meets House

Hej guys, I've made a coooool Remix of an old Lenny Kravitz track. No cheese, I promise :)

It's written in Live. Mix + Master, sounddesign and additional synths in Reaper.

Enjoy :)

Re: Best audio card for Djing / best quality sound

as far as I know Chris Liebing and Dufire use RME soundcards on stage with their Traktor + Ableton Setup. I have an RME UC in the studio and a NI Traktor Audio 6 for DJ-ing use, the NI Komplete 6 for LIVE-PA stuff. The NI stuff works great for me. The sound is very good, although not that good as th...

Re: Why no plugins when in rewire slave?

Tarekith, you're right. It's not in this thread, but in another one Dennis Desantis (if I'm remember right) said so.
I was more replying to the false fact in general. IT IS NOT A REWIRE LIMITATION as mentioned here and there.

Re: Why no plugins when in rewire slave?

This is a limitation of the spec, as leeds said. It's not a decision by Ableton, that's just the way ReWire works.... sorry to correct you, but that is wrong. Reaper allows all VSTs and Plugins while used as rewire-slave and of course master too. Would be cool to finally have VSTs and M4L and Contr...

Re: Ableton Link in Rewire-Mode possible?

has anyone tried this yet? Don't want to mess with the beta, maybe someone who has the 9.5.1beta installed could try it quickly to see if LINK is available in Rewire-Slave mode.

thanks a lot!

Ableton Link in Rewire-Mode possible?

...just wanted to ask if Link will be available too when Live is run as Rewire-Slave? Or will this function just disappear like VSTs and MIDI-mappings when Live is run as rewire-slave?

Thanks for any input.

Re: Better than Bitwig?

not sure if it is a good idea to ask on the Live-Forum if Live or Bitwig is better. Although Bitwig is much newer than live and has a few things to catch up, there are a lot of points where it is just ahead of Live. So, if you wanna use the more modern DAW go with Bitwig definetely...It's much snapp...

Re: Is Live dead already?

well Live will definetely stay my Go-To-Tool for Live-gigs for a long while. That's for sure, but I would like to use it more also in the Studio, and that's where it needs quite some improvement. What I like about Bitwig for example is that you can use 32-and 64-bit VSTs just as is side by side. No ...

Re: Is Live dead already?

man, I love those mockups :D

and the mulsimillionaire AVICIIs really don't influence the choice of my DAW xD
then I would never use Reaper, but I do and love it :)

Re: Is Live dead already?

@mareproduction: wow, what is this thing? just a mockup or real? :) looks really mellow on the eyes. as for the other stuff, I'm really not trolling just thinking out loud. And I still use Live as my mein Layout-Tool, but some features I saw in Bitwig have made me re-evaluate Live...and the 1.2 upda...

Re: Is Live dead already?

I said "dead" because there is nothing happening...no real improvements..rather stagnant because it's moving forward in ultra-slow-steps...building up on old-code...getting heavier and heavier... i was just thinking out loud. btw. the iPhone gets quite an update each year...i don't have on...
