From what I've read anything over the 500 GB mark for WD uses 3 plates inside the drive instead of 2. Thus creating more heat, noise and higher power consumption. If you're ok with this and others have used it with success then go for it.

Seems in Session View you have to either launch the clip again or start moving around the start or Loop markers to launch audio at any point in the scrub area? I can scrub in 8. There is no need to start the clip either. Just click anywhere in the scrub area and the audio will start from that spot....

Auto-fill the track display of a clip(s) looped region by clicking a button within a device. Just like when you double click the beat count ruler in arrangement view it fills to the length of the song but instead make it fill to start/stop region.

I'm not sure what got over me. Oh dear. Hell, I'll enjoy it. I can usually pick up on this kind of stuff fairly good. I'm sure I'll have questions though so Thanks in advance.

No it doesn't crash. I'm using the new 8.1.2b5. Although this version does seem to crash more than the last beta so I wouldn't necessarily upgrade.

BTW, I used to live up in Cbus..visit there all the time. I hear you've gotten a bit of snow there lately.

ableton live 8 has problems, yes. he only works AGAINST them. because that will never provide the solution we want. This about sums it up. Yes, it sucks but we've all spent our hard earned money to buy into this. It's a done deal. All we can to is help ourselves by helping Ableton. Plain and simple...
