dont use key watching in your patch, use a live button and key map it, there are some windows versions of aka.keyboard the reason i am suggesting this is because it seems like you are looking for a way for a button to stop/start live and send a universal note off (which i thought ableton does anyway...

the 0's are the note offs, the notes would last forever without them, this is a necessary part that you dont want to get rid of

the manual has expected inputs, aka lists and data to be sent to it, using the midi externals you will be able to get the note number, velocity etc, then use max to rearrange and send that into the external

i figured out what the VST is doing!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. i had made the assumption that you could do them individually, but they are linked 2. the tapestart starts the moment you release the tapestop and finishes by skipping ahead to live audio 3. a true tapestart can not be done outside of production, ak...
