Re: Recommended soundcard for multi instruments looping

Focusrite can be a nice choice. I have the firewire version of that sound card (saffire pro 40) and I really like it. My only beef and cant really complain for the price is the latency. I can get around by monitoring trough a mixer (virtual mixer in the sound card in my case) but If I want to monito...

Re: external instrument sync?

I know what your saying but doing that in real time would require a time machine. Lol

I suppose they could delay the other tracks if you set a negative value on one a track buts its not designed that way

Re: external instrument sync?

IF your monitoring trough Live then its gonna sound out of sync at higher latency's. You would have to monitor latency free trough a mixer or the "zero" latency feature of your sound card.

Try recording the play back with monitor to off and you should not have any problems

Re: Latency Issue recording a track

Latency is always and issue while dealing with digital audio. Its part of how things work. Its impossible to remove it. There are ways to deal with it though. if you record something from outside ableton you need to make sure that monitoring for that track is set to off so that the automatic compens...

Re: Tune Live to 432,10 Hz (instead of 440) ???

Yeah the math behind harmonics is super interesting but quite complex. The whole conventional musical system is a compromise harmonic wise as the whole thing is tempered. Someone interested in doing music that follows the universe natural harmonics has got alot of work in front it. Simply retuning y...

Re: Question about Cracked Versions

I have to agree with with Tom's position. I spent money 3 times on ableton. To upgrade lite to live 8, live 8 to live 8 suite and then to live suite 9. I like ableton and want further enhancement of the program. But I never would of heard of ableton or had interest in it, if it wasnt for a friend wh...
