Re: Aligning groove between two tracks
This sounds like someone recorded at the wrong sample rate. I’m guessing there’s a 44.1 / 48 kHz problem. If so you “should” be able to calculate the % difference in tempo and Warp or time-stretch back to tempo. Personally, I’d work out which one is correct and get the offender to fix the issue and ...

Re: MacBook Air M1 on battery
I’ve no idea how well the M1 Air will cope with Live 11 but there’s no washing out on either of my MacBook Pros running on battery. Live does rinse the battery though so I don’t get much time before needing to plug in.

Batch Creating Groove Templates
I have over 1000 DNA Groove Templates in MIDI format. Ideally I'd like to not spend the time manually extracting the grooves from MIDI in Ableton and wondered if anyone knows of a batch conversion method that would allow this be done with multiple MIDI files at once.

Re: Why do my tracks sound better inside Ableton than exported?
I’m astounded by the mis-information in this post. I know it’s dated but there needs to be some clarity about bit depth, sample rate, non-synced effects and analogue modelling. Live’s render is identical to real-time playback/record. This has been demonstrated many times using phase inversion betwee...

Re: Sharing ableton sound on zoom on a PC
In Zoom you just need to check the “Share computer sound” tick box to get Ableton into Zoom. For other packages you’ll need a way of looping back the audio as mentioned above.

Re: Where do pro producers (and you) get their sounds?
A really useful tip I was given to help manage the potentially overwhelming nature of production is to divide your time. If you have less than two hours to use, spend that time on tutorials, experimentation and sound design. Don’t get trapped in writing but just play with no real end goal. Anything ...

Re: Where do pro producers (and you) get their sounds?
The key thing I’ve learned over the years is that what you do with a sound can make or break it. A pretty standard kick drum processed through effective eq, compression and drum bus can become a dance floor monster. While it’s important to start with good sounds, good composition and arrangement is ...

Re: Another bug in Ableton 11, now with Izotope Stutter Edit 2
Strange, it’s working for me in 11. I wonder if it’s a version issue. Have you tried downloading and recording installing Stutter Edit? I’m working from a completely fresh PC build that’s around 3 weeks old now.

Re: The chance of zero latency
I don’t really see that a new USB standard is going to dramatically decrease latency. The throughput of USB is more than adequate to shift the data rates required for high sample rate, high bit depth audio to a pair of monitors. That’s not really the bottle neck. It’s more to do with the computation...

Re: 200 GO de RAM
It’s probably not what you want to hear but people who use Live for live performance build their set to work for live performance. Rather than expecting the software to behave how they want it to they utilise what it can and does do very well to build a set that works. Freeze and flatten MIDi to aud...

Re: Where is my latency coming from?!?
I can’t say where your latency is coming from but you’re aware that Live doesn’t compensate for latency in recording IF you have track monitoring turned on right? If it’s off it will compensate as expected just not when set to Auto or On. There’s a work around that involves setting up one track to r...

Re: Unusually high cpu usage in Ableton 11
I assume you’ve carried out the system tweaks outlined here and have run latencymon to check driver latency issues. This seems more common than it should be given the reports on here and Reddit. I had a similar issue on OSX Catalina and the solution was to delete all old library files related to Liv...

Re: U-phoria audio interface + ablteon live PROBLEM
Pad should be off as it will reduce the input level. Do you have GarageBand installed that you can test with to see if it’s unique to Ableton or system wide?

Re: Delay on a audio clip
And there’s definitely no delays on the other vocal track or the group? Otherwise this is definitely a fault. Without actually getting into the project in person this seems counter to how Ableton behaves for me. I’ve definitely set up exactly the same in the past and it has worked perfectly. Assumin...

Re: Edit: FLAC file into ableton seems saturated after warpping?
While FLAC files sound amazing it is still a compressed format. It could be the warp mode that your using and I would try all of them to see if it makes a difference, I personally only use PCM non-compressed formats to work with in any DAW. Any compressed files are going to cause additional workload...
