Thanks I'm finding I can use locator (marker) points as you suggested in a similar way and they refer to one point rather than two. Drag back after punch in possible?
So I'm in play in the transport, playing along on my electric guitar. I realize I like what I played. After punching in on other software, I can drag back from where I pressed record to where I first pressed play. This does not seem possible in Ableton.
