You're welcome. Regarding 1.5, it's possible but not as likely as building a new version of the 1.5 skin. I can't go into more detail than that. Please feel free to begin a new thread asking for requests. If you do the work collecting and ranking them, I'll make the 3 most requested. I'm sorry but t...

I've seen a few references to people racking a mini and using it live to process guitar etc. http://createdigitalmusic.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=766&Itemid=44 It's a very practical solution if you prefer a modular approach. If you're looking for a single, central-base...

In addition to downloading, please post a short comment so the thread doesn't get buried.

Thanks.

New Ableton Skins Feb 06

Thought I'd start a new thread for this group of skins. The previous ones were merely cut/paste modifications. These were made from scratch. The new skins begin with the prefix pearson so they will not delete the older pearsonart skins if you should choose to keep both. There are 18 total. This is a...

Haack documentary on the DOC channel.

Just noticed this on the DOC channel.

I particularly like the footage of him on Fred Roger's show.

Sorry if this has been posted before. I'm sure it will air again this weekend.

I'm not exactly sure what Tom was referring to but you CAN do this on the mac with Jack and Soundflower. Jack is a linux port. Both are free 3rd party apps that use core audio.

IBM has made some excellent portables but I understand that they sold that division to Lenovo. We'll see whether or not Lenovo's quality holds up or, more importantly, if they don't go down a different road altogether. It's only a matter of time before the Chinese get a competitive cpu to market. Me...

None of us can take particular pride in what Apple and Microsoft do or say as corporate citizens. I think it's fair to say that either one would take the shirt off the other's back if they could. That leaves linux, unix, ubuntu, debian, whatever. Which is another conversation completely. I'm really ...

Thanks. I'm not the first to say it and I won't be the last. Personally, I'm surprised that anyone would seriously consider buying one of the new macs now. I know I don't have the money to waste. Why be the guinea pig for an untested platform? I'm a mac user, sure but before that, I'm an artist and ...

I really don't understand why we see EVERY SINGLE THREAD about the mac gets a response from some pc user criticizing the hardware/software. I DON"T see mac users jump on every pc/windows thread to bash it. For those in doubt, that's not because the pc doesn't deserve to get bashed from time to ...

Thank you Tom. I would say that the tail wags the dog when using this program. I've been trying to get back to composing on an instrument but Ableton Live is very addictive. I also use quite a bit of acoustic guitar and percussion. That's all some of the tracks on my site are, only resampled and man...

Try amazon.com I'm not aware of any sites with free Satie mp3s. Epitonic.com comes closest with an actual category for 20th century classical composers. If anyone knows of any other resources, please speak up. I should also mention that I've finished some new skins. Sorry for the delay. I've been bu...
