you should have quite a few options for a thousand pounds...have you looked at the Dell or HP sites? What about an XPS machine? That way its already built.

get the one that has the best support. bottom line, when its 3 in the morning and you need help, who is going to answer the phone? also keep in mind: if you need to fix it yourself...does it matter if you can or cannot get your fingers inside it? if so, I wouldnt be getting an imac ...and maybe not ...

maybe you need more power....like the recommended but not supplied power adapter? just a guess. I only use the usb with nothing else daisy chained.

did you also disable/ remove the sony accounts on your system and in the acl's that were created by sony? and did you clean the registry? what about disabling the unnecessary services and turn auditing on? and is there a "diagnostics" section on your hard drive created by sony? and what ab...

i really think amazon is they way to go...as far as a model for online purchases...

there are also a few dvd players out that have divx support and usb jacks....just throw your vids on an external hd and plug in...run everything from your dvd player right into your tv.

complaining about it just means you weren't skilled enough to tweak it. dont take anything i said as complaining or assume i dont have skills to tweak any os....ill reverse shell a host based firewall and fire off cmd.exe using an iusr account in less tha 15 seconds any day ill even send you the lo...

come on man...cant you read my tone in 2D... heres the deal he can have really fast hardware and put a crappy vista home os on it and every application on that os will suck inherantly or for about the same money he can get a little slower hardware and put a great os on it and the applications on top...
