my strat with the neck pickup and tone with treble rolled off sounds fine. Not sure how much like a bass guitar it sounds but its usable for bass sounds

I've been using Guitar Rig for the last couple of years and it's pretty good. NI seem to listen to their users and introduce requested features at 'point' releases for no charge.
