I realized that in the future it would be cool to save all the VST presets in the Push VST Preset Bridge so that they have the empty layered chain setup by default. That way any NI synth can be browsed and immediately layered with any other preset! It'll take a while but I'll get it done. I'm hoping...

Unless they are part of a standard tool set, I can't do that. But you can use the posted batching tutorial to learn how to do your own if there are too many to do manually.

Perhaps we could combine the method. There's a m4l patch that can send the program change message. So I could include that in all the presets if people want to quickly scroll through presets using that method.

If your home folder and is are on an ssd it's very fast. If not, most synths like massive, absinthe etc load fast anyway. I find the browser to be OK. Doesn't bother me one bit - I like the old school way of diving deeper and deeper into categories - and if you wanna use your own presets/racks, it's easy enough to SHIFT-buttondown to reach "PLACES" etc, where you'd place your grouped VSTs, custom instruments...
