I'm up for a London meet.

I may even have a weekday venue but it'd be dahn sarf - Brixton to be precise. It's small and relatively quiet and we'd have access to the sound system...and the bar.

heh -Londoner now

I used to work at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, only for a bit, mind.

Also Espedair Street was one of my favourite Iain Banks novels from several years before, I didn't put the two together until I walked down the very road.

Still one of the best accents IMHO

thanks for the headsup on the other post... I did a search before posting but "I guess what we have here is a failure to communicate." I thought looking like a spanner was part of the fun of performing? Of course these people are from Brighton and so allowed to do this kind of shit. Not th...

Anyone actually seen one of these babies in action? £500 for the ultimate solution to the "checking your email" look most of us laptop jockeys are so good at. http://www.sonalog.com/videos.htm It would be like learning to play another instrument all over again though. What I like about com...

using a usb keypad

Not having any cash to spare for a trigger finger, I tried using a handy Labtec USB keypad to assign a trigger to various clips/ scenes. No velocity info obviously but I thought I could at least use it to trigger scenes etc. The problem is: Live doesn't seem to notice the number pad at all. Although...

I'm really interested in what other people are doing with this. This is an earlier thread on the subject, with a mild flame-spat in the middle of it, I love the sound of the Phatcontrollers's setup but can't even think about constructing something like that myself -sounds heiniously complicated. htt...

edirol PCR-M1 as a midi-interface

I bought the PCR-M1 because of its midi ports, thinking I could use my phatboy knob-box thru the midi-in to add extra tweakiness.But plugging it all in and switching the midi-inf to on Live still doesn't detect midi-signal when I turn the knobs on the phatty. I have a midisport 4x4 but I'm trying to...

Re: Tweaking Live

When I use Live in a live environment, I run it as a 'Custom user interface' or 'shell' in Windows XP Professional. Basically what this is if you aren't familiar with it, is replacing Explorer with Live as a shell. This means there is no desktop environment, no taskbar, no start menu, no applets ru...
