I did the exact same route you proposed, one scene for each track with separate 'channels' for each instrument. The first disadvantage seemed that Ableton Live seemed to have more workload with those long files loaded, maybe this is complete shit. But seems reasonable especially when you have instru...

Well, I'd truly love a lifetime upgrade option for Live if there was one. I'd even take it for free if I had to. I also like the Fruity concept - you say once and receive updates forever. Not only bugfixes. Have there been true extensions of features on older upgrades within a version life of Live (...

Nevertheless. People going crazy because of something not even visible at the horizon is weird. Apart from bugfixes, is it - as a whole - to be expected that you get free updates on the software you bought with true feature enhancements? I am just asking, Live was one of my first software pieces eve...

Reading this thread, I get really curious about the flash drive thingy, as you report so much speed enhancement. I have read that the Buffalo Firestix might be even faster - did anyone test one of those expensive bars?`Those sticks don't occupy yet two USB ports at the same time if they are placed b...

Let me get it right: scenario 1 is that you press ctrl+drag the instrument, the instrument is there, disabled. Does not work currently. Scenario 2 is that you drag an instrument rack onto a channel, disable it (if you don't preconfigure it) and THEN insert the real instrument. That is a bit more wor...

Yeah, Nokatus, this is at least a work-around. Unfortunately still needs some few more clicks to get a disabled insertion. It is good to know that there are ways to do it. A simple shift+drag or ctrl+drag would ease the whole process though, this is why I placed this thread into the wishlist forums....
