Also, tone, B Aubert isn't really the greatest guitarist. Or if he is, he certainly doesn't show it. Is all power chords and open strings with lead parts.

Swoon has been a disappointment but I still listen to it. I've tried to love it but it pales on comparison to Pikul and Carnavas, two of the best albums I've heard over the last two years, I absolutely love them. just kidding. if you run your bass tracks sends to a return with all the effects you want and select "Sends Only" as the output for each of those tracks that should do it.

if you were to find which effects were being tailed after hitting stop (compression, reverb, delay...etc) you could try running them in serial and at 100%.

its probably the tail of a compressor, delay or reverb or a combination that you're hearing.

it's a rack unit from the 80's that is cheap and is quite common, according to dude from the band in the interview. mbv used this on loveless (i use this unit as well, but in the wedge format which is a midiverb 3 in tabletop box form), sounds like it to me on their recordings... but i could be wro...
