Even if stuff is normalized there will be tracks that are louder or softer in average volume (RMS, if I'm not butchering the verbiage). So it's bound to get more complicated than getting both tracks normalized, especially if doing anything other than just crossfading. I don't know Traktor at all but...

Out of order but why can't you: 1) Create 16 MIDI channels 3) Route each MIDI channel independently (1-16 on whatever) 4) Keybind either clip slots or scene launch (muting/unmuting a track might be worth binding too) (Extra step: Adjust global launch or clip launch parameters like quantization or wh...

Re: MIDI Remote Scripts
Anyway, under [device controls] Encoder1, Encoder2, Encoder3 etc. Are these the ones that are default mapped to the macros in the active rack ? Yes. Also are there any other controls available that are not in this config file ? Tricky question . . . some of the included control scripts for devices ...

http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd280/swollen-nose/coverpic-1.jpg Just on a philosophical or cultural level this really validated the concept of synthesis for me, that synthesis really could be just as valid as traditional instruments and that it really had it's own intangible beauty. Also, I fe...

There are probably a few different ways this will be done. The way 3rd party plugs display their parameters in Live's device view is getting revamped, users can control which show up and in what order. I'd imagine the APC will grab the first 8 by default? You can create a template instrument or effe...

No clue if there's much of a 'portal' type site planned for some of the things that will be floating around. Something with a good system for cataloging Max objects, rating them, tracking downloads and updates, some news-digest entries on a front page. Wikis are cool but not really as spontaneous as...

Re: akai APC40
looks like bye bye monome... Perhaps the Monome / MIDIBox and other DIY avenues get empowered by new Abe products. They generate demand for a very unique style of controller by putting it in the hands of more people. Especially with Max for Live, I'm sure people are brainstorming already about a lo...

The multiple colors on the LCD screen seem like a dead giveaway that it's not real hardware, the image is certainly a ray-traced type rendering. But it seems like there's a fair bit software/hardware convergence stuff a la Kore popping up so maybe there's more to it. Really there's so much that coul...
