Re: Ableton says THANKS with two free Live Packs........

...finally, a pretty good feature set, workflow is a charm, I happy to stay there forever. But do not tempt me with V9's juicy features!

TX802!!!!!

:P

a beast... I send it into a lexicon. I wold love having access to more real-time parameters on the TX, like assigning CCs to synth parameters, but it's impossible.

Those older yamaha sound better than most other fm done by them later

well, if you master your tracks with a pleasing amount of dynamics, AND IT PLAYS ON THE RADIO, then you'll sound like a whisper between 2 jumbo jets.

So really, like it or not, you have to overcompress.

Re: Best Ableton Effects for BOC

I have heard a ton of BOC sound-alikes. It just shows how much talent BOC has.... it's a sound but also some very strong melodic pieces so doing both together is what separates them from others; fantastic layers of sounds that blends so well you may have to listen dozens of times to hear them all, p...

Re: Yet another gear thread - Rokit 5 vs. Rokit 6

So I'm interested in new monitors. I'm currently using M-Audio Studiophile AV40s. They are okay for beginning productions, but the more I've used them, the more I'm seeing how limited they really are (for one, their low-frequency is 85hz - no wonder so many of my tracks have been bass heavy without...

Re: Compared to Reaper Live feels SO bloated!

Reaper is so bloated with menus it's incredible.

Live 8 has all I need to record in 16 tracks, mix and master... or I can use it live as a music instrument. Reaper offers only linear thinking. Live is way beyond that.

And i don't want to fuse them into one big live set, because i think, that's a lot of reorganisation work.

If you ever find the answer, keep me posted :?

Re: All the little detail problems with Ableton Live Collection

038 no multichannel midi yeah that's a bummer, but I could live with that if I could at least export multichannel midi files. I spend an inordinate amount of time re-builing track-by-track songs I exported from live. Since I started exporting midi to the MPC.... or any other hardware sequencer... o...

041 you cant load while playing or deal with multiple projekts at once.. thats actually not a detail... rather big evil that forces users to build either monsterszse live sets for stage work or having rather playback shows with long prerecorded sections.. +1000 EXACTLY, live is hard to use live, ev...

032 Automation: ability to type in a value for an envelope +1 agree the automation curves are so under developed (and at V8!!!) it's terrible. They should take their cues from program like Softimage or Lightwave in witch it's really easy to manipulate functions curves. They are so primitive and a p...
