Re: Bass Issue (Ableton 9)
Unless I'm missing something obvious, everything seems ok. Maybe something to do with your interface software (MixControl for Focusrite, I think). Can you get any sound just by listening to the output of the interface or in any other DAW (if you have others)?

Re: How to make this sound? Help Plz
McAnix is correct, but if you don't have/can't play a guitar, you could make an approximation with Collision, Operator, Tension, or maybe even Wavetable (can't remember if there's string waveforms). There's probably even some decent stock presets available for one or all of those.

Furthermore . . . Check out some other forums too. If you are interested in particular genres, check out forums that relate to that genre regardless of the platform you are creating on. There's two parts to what you want to do . . . 1) Create Techno (or what ever genre) 2) Use Ableton Those two thi...

Re: Bass Issue
You would need to host the screenshot somewhere, like imgur, and use the insert image (Img) button. It's fine that you use Live 9 - that guide was written for 9. I just wanted to point out that the procedures would be the same for 10.amsleepyhead wrote:How i can post a screenshot? The version of ableton is the 9.

Re: Can't get Reface cp to work with ableton
Are you sending it MIDI via a MIDI track with an external instrument device? A screenshot could help.

Re: Bass Issue
Do you have the input on the audio track set to 1 and have you record armed the track? Screenshots are useful for problem solving this sort of thing.
Here's a helpful link that still applies to version 10, if you're using that:

Re: Newbie Where do i start???
Some really great, in-depth tutorials on YouTube as well, of course. Ableton has the benefit of having a relative ton of resources online from the community in comparison to some other DAWs.

Re: Leveling Instrument Volume from a Recorded Live Set
If it was all recorded down to a single audio track with clipping/unbalanced levels/etc..., there's not much you can do to remove that. Unfortunately, you'll just have to doctor it up as best you can. Doing a pre-check on your peak levels and maybe throwing on a limiter or compressor in case of surp...

Did you read through this:

Maybe not the most helpful advice, but I thought I'd throw it up just in case.

Re: Record with backing track.
Odd. I've tried to recreate the issue, but can't seem to stumble upon it. If your playback/recording is occurring in arrangement view, the track monitors are set to Auto, and you have the track armed/set to the correct input, it should work.

Does the audio that you've imported play when not recording? Are you working in Session or Arrangement view?

Why not cut + paste the tracks you want to move? Seems to yield the same result. EDIT: Could also highlight the tracks, click/hold, and use Function + Up Arrow (if on Mac; equivalent on Windows is Alt + Up Arrow, I think). This will allow you to page up quickly, but may feel slightly awkward. It wor...
