Re: Recording MIDI from Maschine w/Ableton...
This is something that is really easy to do with Push. It has the tightest Live integration of any MIDI controller available. These videos here show how seamless it works and how responsive the Push pads are. http://www.reddit.com/r/abletonpushvideos/ Once you push Push pads you'll never push anoth...

Yeah, they must have, like how the knobs should have been placed below the screen so as to not to be blocking it when holding a knob.glitchrock-buddha wrote:Did they put the screens in upside down? They must have...

Re: Ableton Push: Questions & Answers
well, if you want to get hung up on the approach, i guess youre out of luck. l think you're splitting hairs. I don't think I'm hung up on the approach. Presently I just draw notes directly in and use mouse + arrow keys - no Push. Way faster than putting down the sequence, deleting a note, finding t...

Re: Push - MIDI select mode in Clip Mode
Would like to see a MIDI select mode within Clip mode for instrument racks. I've a few ideas about how this could work. 1. Within Clip mode press 'In' to access MIDI select mode. 2. This would allow you to press 2 pads (similar to loop selection in drum rack mode) to select Note range. 3. Then use ...

Re: wish: hold delete to delete notes in record mode
yeah, that would be good behaviour. Hold delete and a pad, and it would delete over time any notes in the sequence for that pad... Yeah, what a glaring omission of a feature commonly found on many existing tools. For example, here's how it's done on Maschine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdE60Gr...

Re: Why can't we have lights and screen use in user mode?
Cue defensive Ableton apologists lecturing about you not being "prepared to do what's necessary to get the most out of your purchase", how they "don't understand all of you who just want it to work out of the box", and question why you bought a "flexible and adaptive audio e...

Re: Auditioning Sounds from Push - Is it Possible?
I haven't seen one person on this forum badmouth Maschine. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen: Fuck Maschine. NI are designing it as an Ableton Live killer. If you truly care about Live and believe in the workflow it provides, steer clear. Push is gonna crush Maschine! It is hard to see Maschine a...

Re: step sequencing non-drums
I imagine this may come about through m4l. Seems like ableton are not bothered by such a feature. Yeah, it seems like theyre content to rely on the users to pay more money to buy m4l and learn to fix the Push's shortcomings for them. This is what Gerhard said in his recent kvr interview: With Push ...

Re: any word from abes on the poor user browsing in push?
again, maybe this is just my monome experience coming through here, but i really dont understand all of you who just want it to work out of the box. Making your own unique set up has always been the primary appeal of using ableton live. There's plenty of feature completed closed platforms. If thats...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
And the reports keep coming about the problems with the pads on Push. Just from today so far: My pads are set to -10 threshold & log 3 & i still seem much less sensitive. Dang, I've got the same issue. Pads 4 & 5 of the top row are both far far "stiffer" than the rest of the pa...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
The Pads on the Push are stupidly sensitive and now we have visual proof of somebody demonstrating it, over some random quotes from what could quite possibly be the same guy. SMH... Are you seriously suggesting all these people are "the same guy" ?: Ableton forums: The pads weren't ...

Re: Sitting on the Fence - Push or Maschine
NI obviously lacks the knowledge base and experience, which causes the awkward noob oriented switchy pad. lol Nice try pencilrocket. The dude in that video you posted simply didn't know that other more sensitive pads like Maschine and padkontrol do not have the design flaw of having a gap between t...

Re: any word from abes on the poor user browsing in push?
It works fine out of the box. I wouldn't exactly call not being able to do something that seems so fundamentally basic such as browsing your own samples, "fine out of the box". If you want additional functionality there is plenty of room for you to mess around. That is if someone happens ...

Re: Un-equal pad sensitivity in NOTE mode
Stiffen your fingers where the pads seem insensitive. See if anything changes. Not sure that's too smart. You shouldn't have to risk suffering from carpal tunnel just so you can adjust your playing to compensate for the uneven sensitivity of Push's pads. Should customers risk bodily harm and injury...
