Re: RELEASE: The amazing Rus-FX Live PA Effects rack!
There are definitely a couple of effects that are a bit louder then they should be.... all you gotta do is prop open the main chain and tinker with the volume... unless you are talking about the fx tail.... in which case those are either reverbs or simple delays that can have the delay or feedback r...

Re: Dubstep bass Wobble with Trilogy
Hmm I see what you're saying........ no you cannot modulate the lfo rate when synced with anything...
I'm gonna play around more, this would be useful for me too so I'll see what I can come up with.

Re: Dubstep bass Wobble with Trilogy
Hmm I see what you're saying.... You know what I would try? I would figure out a way to map different lfo rates to several buttons rather than the mod wheel... I gave that up because even though it works pretty well, it's really hard to accurately hit the right rate... Are you using live 8? I can co...

Re: Dubstep bass Wobble with Trilogy
Good tip, I used to use a similar technique. The only problem I see with this, is that dubstep has become dependant on the way overused bass wobble.... the problem is that everyone tries to copy the signature bass wobble... and not try something new.... Some of the most impressive dubstep I have hea...

Re: Abe's Spectrum Analyzer
most monitors do not produce the bass needed to accurately predict what the song will sound like on pa speakers
get a subwoofer and you're set no spectro needed

Re: Ruso - 5 - Track Release (free d/l) [halfstep dnb]
Thanks for compliment, i have a subwoofer amp, and a full range amp that I installed into my car.... I also installed a power inverter so I can power the DAW... If you choose to do this make sure you get a true sine wave power inverter.... mine is a modified sine wave and I'm having some issues with...

Whoah, that's a rad tune bro. Very good work... I would compile a demo and send it to gaming companies... your music would work very well in adventure type games...
Great work!

10 points for originality, and although they are a bit of a hard listen they are still interesting to listen to. I like the third one down the most.

Ruso - 5 - Track Release (free d/l) [halfstep dnb]
What's up ableton forums, I have installed two amps into my car, and a power inverter... and decided to take my studio (which is conveniently packed into my live pa rig) mobile.... I have been going out in nature and producing my tracks... it's been great because I can listen loud while hanging out ...

Re: RELEASE: The amazing Rus-FX Live PA Effects rack!
Thanks man, I thought about releasing it as only a rack, but then I realised that a lot of less experienced people would haver trouble using it... so I set it up as an example.
Thanks for kind words, glad you like it .

Re: reverb advise for live setup
I personally really really like ableton's reverb.... I don't know why people go for other reverbs.... but obviously when you learn all the parameters, run it in high quality mode, and set it up in a return track you can have some wonderful reverbs (especially those tight dense, small verbs on those ...

Re: Bothersome Sampling Question - How do they do it?
+1 to clockwatcher.... yes the trick is definitely to pick out the frequency(ies) that is(are) dominated by the sound you're trying to use in the sample... then filter out the rest. One other option is to try using the utility plugin in ableton... and either drop or turn up the width... a lot of tim...

Tutorial: Fight that ground loop feedback!!!!
For today, the topic is: That annoying ground loop feedback. You've all heard it.... it's the annoying hum, usually almost in-audible.... other times right in your face overpowering your car's new stereo. Still not ringing a bell? It's the white noise your speakers make on your PA system when no sou...
