Re: [OT] Alcoholism. Willing to share your problem?
As for the poster(s) who indicated that I was being presumptive in regard to the asshole who totaled (just heard back from the body shop - it WAS totaled) one of our brand new cars... please show me where I called him an alcoholic . I called him a drunk/idiot - which he was BOTH on Friday evening -...

Re: how do you use the drum pads on the novation remote zero sl?
I might be mistaken, but I think you can use it with Impulse as well, but it has something to do with the notes that the pads are mapped to by default. I'm probably talking out of my arse, and I don't have Live or an SL available to hand, but I though that the SL was set up to play on C1 on upwards,...

Re: [OT] Alcoholism. Willing to share your problem?
With the penalties and consequences for drunk driving nowdays? You bet. If someone gets behind the wheel and ignores what may happen legally (not to mention otherwise), then yes- he/she has a problem. Here in Minnesota, a first DUI will run you somewhere about $1000 in fines, $3000 in legal fees an...

Re: [OT] Alcoholism. Willing to share your problem?
A drunk driver totaled my wife's brand new car (2 months old) last night, parked in front of our home in the Hollywood Hills - then decided he would flee from the scene of the accident. Fortunately, someone got his license plate number, and the little bitch is now cooling his heels in the LA County...

Re: Online purchase tax, oh nooos!!!!
In the UK VAT is 15% and if you buy online from a UK based retailer this is what you pay BUT if you buy from an international online retailer based in say Germany or the US you pay 19% which is the 'EU Harmonised Rate' or EU rip-off tax in other words - got to fund the Brussels gravy-train somehow....

Re: Depeche Mode Remix Contest with Decent Prizes
£3. I bought them also - might have a blast at doing a remix, but i figured 3 quid wasn't much to pay to get a Depeche track dissected so I can see how they build their sounds up to a finished track.wildcon wrote:I can't access Beatport from work, but i'm asumming from the comments that the parts add up to £4?

Re: Depeche Mode Remix Contest with Decent Prizes
Just wondering how do those T&Cs compare with other major band remix competitions, e.g. that Radiohead one. Is this standard stuff, or are DM being especially greedy? probably par for the course. a lot of these types of agreements are overwritten in order to avoid any possible claims down the r...
