Sample Rate can't change
I'm trying to change the sample rate from 41000 to 48000. I was able to see the rate in Win (10) for my Focusrite 2i2 and change it to 48000, but when I try yo change the rate is Ableton, I get: Cannot change because apps are playing audio: -audiodg.exe. There is nothing playing, no inputs, no strea...

Thanks

Insert MIDI track without any instrument
When I click on Insert MIDI Track from the Create menu, a midi track shows up in the list of tracks like it should. But it comes in with a drum sound assigned to it. I don't know how I saved a MIDI track with this drum sound, but now that is the default. It's not a big deal, but when I add a new mid...

Re: NO PARAMETER MAPPED
That is a good question. No parameter mapped on some MIDI tracks, not on all. I just switched to a MIDI track, and it says Press Down Arrow to edit playing clip. When I pushed down then I get the No Parameter Mapped. It's probably something really simple, I just don't understand how to map a paramet...

NO PARAMETER MAPPED
Push2 with Ableton. I keep getting a screen display on Push2 NO PARAMETER MAPPED. What does this mean? This is new today, after I had the Push 2 unplugged for a while. I Tried several computer resets. I know this is a real beginner question, but I have searched everywhere. It's the simple questions ...

Re: MIDI To or Audio To ? How do I change it.
Thanks, That helps. If I assign an instrument to a MIDI track, then it has the AUDIO track.

MIDI To or Audio To ? How do I change it.
Ableton Live Standard on a PC. Something changed when I plugged in the USB from my new Yamaha MX61. Now when I "insert midi track" the track output is defaulted to MIDI TO. I have been using MIDI FROM for input, and AUDIO TO: MASTER, but it is not available now. I see MIDI FROM tracks I ha...

Re: What is the best method or to create a drum beat / groove?
and another idea is to not worry too much about technicalities initially and simply ENJOY it. if it aint fun, then it aint worth doing as it may not be fun to listen to. It has to be fun,,, This is really true... I'm going to try some new drum programs. Maybe I can find one that is more inspiring. ...

Re: What is the best method or to create a drum beat / groove?
As someone has already said: do it the hard way. I presume you're making house/edm style tracks as you mention the 4 to the floor etc. and everyone goes through the same learning curve, especially with dance music where the quality of your drums central to the feeling of your track. I strongly feel...

Re: What is the best method or to create a drum beat / groove?
"Too Many Ways". OK, I see, there are a lot of ways to make a drum track depending on what you are trying to accomplish, right? The ones I make are usually not that good. Probably the best thing for me right now is to buy some grooves so I will have a starting point, and learn from t...

Re: What is the best method or to create a drum beat / groove?
I'm trying out Addictive Drums. There are a lot of options to choose, and I have found a few good beats. Still learning how it works.

What is the best method or to create a drum beat / groove?
Last week, I asked about creating a synth sound and came up with Serum as a great software package to adjust sounds. Now..... for a good drum sound; I can use Impulse and load it with drum sounds, make a 4X4 kick, add a snare and some ride cymbals, but the facts are, I'm not a great drummer. How can...

Re: Where can I find a great synth sound?
Mate, I because of this thread I picked up Serum yesterday. Yeah, this is how synths should be. Within minutes I'd crafted a pretty gnarly sound. Love it! I'm glad that this discussion helped someone else. I just started in the world of electronic music. It's all pretty confusing at first. Yes it i...

Re: Where can I find a great synth sound?
After three days with several demo instruments, I bought Serum. I like the workflow. Synthhacker makes some great fast paced YouTube videos about Serum that show how he creates sounds. Those are excellent tutorials for learning how to adjust the sound to get what I want. I bought a pack of his sound...

Re: Where can I find a great synth sound?
Thanks to everyone for the great input. I have the demo for Serum, and Synthmaster. Both are very good, visual, user friendly.
That's what I am interested in, a software that I can easily adjust to make a good sound. Learning more every day. This is interesting.
