I mean i COULD mix in the phones, but ALL the time ... i'm a pretty bit fan of not wearing them, and just using them to get levels correct and cue points etc.
Guess i might be screwed, bummer ..... or my neighbors will hate me ..... decisions decisions.

Actually some of us can tell the difference on a real system. I've done it a bumch of times, where i've taken an WAV version of the file and a 320 MP3 and i can tell the difference. So you bought a $3500-4000 mixer and have NO idea what you're doing? As a side note, the internal soundcard that Xone 3D's have is a complete piece of shit, i'd recommend returning the mixer and looking at a completely different setup. By the sounds of things, you need to read a lot more on this web...
