what i realized regarding to dragging vsts: you need to have the mouse over the vst sign or the name, if you just drag the "line" of the browser without touching one of those, it doesn't work.

check out live's beat repeat, this should be able to do what you need. i suggest you check out the presets from the library to get an idea of how it works.

btw. it's not released yet, but according to chris it will be soon.

i had that once and it was the asio driver.. so i'd say update your drivers and perhaps that fixes it. the utility solution is just a work-around that doesn't cure the issue itself.

just a guess based on your signature, you bought the 7 to 8 update, right? if so, you wouldn't be getting sampler for free anyway, it's just for completely new purchases or updates from lite or LE.
